This metal stamping company is located in Skokie, IL. (northern suburb of Chicago). This 20,000 sq ft building is multi storied and tucked inside a combination industrial–residential neighborhood. Because of the location, the facility is tightly packed with 50 employees. But it was there in 1954 and everything has grown up around it since.  This company is privately owned.  

P & B specializes in “intricate” metal stampings and assemblies. One of their specialties is the stamping and assembly of heat shields for commercial and military aircraft braking systems. Most of their parts are low volume in comparison to what you would normally think of as stamping volumes. Normal order quantities run from 500 to 100,000 pieces.  Press capacity is 150 ton with part length capability to 30”.

In addition to stamping work, many of their parts are produced by laser cutting. Some assemblies are done with laser welding. Certain medical production parts are made exclusively by EDM wire cutting.  Other operations include staking, orbital riveting, PEM inserting, customized packaging and handling.
